Erin’s natural hair journey began in 1994, when kinky curls were rarely understood or celebrated. With little education and even fewer healthy options, caring for natural hair often meant compromise. The products available felt heavy, harsh, and out of sync with the beauty of textured hair.
Through her big chop and every chapter that followed—dreadlocks, an afro puff, even a brief return to chemical straightening—Erin searched for balance between beauty, confidence, and care. As the industry evolved, she hoped for better, but continued to find products that asked her to sacrifice her hair’s health.
A board-certified Health Coach with a deep passion for wellness, Erin knows everything is connected. Instead of settling, she created what she couldn’t find. 2 Girls with Curls was born from lived experience and a belief that natural hair should be nurtured, not managed. Today, The Curly Duo brings together her two passions—hair and wellness.

As co-owner of The Curly Duo, Leigh-Ann’s passion comes from personal experience—years of trial and error with curly hair products that never quite delivered.
That journey shaped her belief in clean ingredients and a holistic approach to beauty, where what we put on our bodies matters just as much as what we put in them. The Curly Duo was built on the idea that curl care is wellness: intentional, nourishing, and grounded in simplicity.
